MACS LIFT AND VOLUMETRIC FACE LIFT
Dr Prochazka performs minimally invasive face and neck lifting, using his own modified version of the MACS Lift (first described by Belgian plastic surgeon Dr Patrick Tonnard).
MACS stands for “Minimal Access, Cranial Suspension” – meaning a short scar and vertical elevation of the tissues.
The MACS Lift is a true face lift, as it directly lifts and re-suspends the deep supporting membrane of the face and neck (the SMAS). This is done without surgically invading the deeper planes of the face, resulting in a reduced risk of serious complications (such as damage to nerves or salivary structures).
In patients with volume loss as well as sagging of facial tissues, Dr Prochazka performs the Volumetric Face Lift: a combination of MACS lift and fat transfer.
The operation generally takes between two and three hours, and can be performed under twilight sedation – no need for a general anaesthetic.
Cost: $4,500 (cheeks and jowls); $5,500 (cheeks, jowls and neck)
